The Swiss army blanket is to the land of Gruyère what the tartan is to Scotland: a must-have, an essential. An icon. And because it’s such a monument, we decided to revisit it.
But don’t panic. Attached as we are to tradition and to our Helvetian homeland, we have endeavoured to preserve its essential codes. Thanks to its two red stripes and white cross, and to the resistance that has made its reputation; it remains identifiable at first glance. Made from a blend of 67% Italian wool and 33% European cotton, it has been given a few variations with a single aim: look just like us and adapt to today’s lives.
Whether friend on the bedspread, duvet on the sofa or companion of the first shivers, our blanket is also a way of reconnecting. To the know-how of past generations, to history, to our memory.
